Taj Mahal Cake attracts people at Chennai

An exotic cake exhibition, showcasing six of the new Seven Wonders of the World, is proving a great attraction at the ongoing international consumer exhibition in Chennai.
Made with the usual ingredients used in baking cakes, these visual delights are mammoth in size.
The Great Wall of China, the Roman Colosseum, Mt. Machu Pichu of Peru, the Petra of Jordan and the pyramid of Egypt are some of the new wonders made in the form of cakes.
The five-foot cake in the shape of the Taj Mahal, made with 450 kg of icing sugar, 600 eggs and 1000 ml of essence, took the centre stage.
Many lovers who have not yet visited the Taj Mahal were seen looking at the cake version of the eternal monument of love longingly.
The total weight of the ingredients used to make cakes of six of the new Seven Wonders of the World was 3000 kilograms while the total expense for making these cakes was 330,422 dollars. It took 50 workers, including 15 craftsmen, to make these wonders.
The exhibition concludes on August 18.
