Sir Ben Kingsley saw movie ‘Taj Mahal : An Eternal Love Story’

Akbar Khan who made Taj Mahal : An Eternal Love Story has cordially invited Sir Ben Kingsley for the film’s screening which will be held at the Dubai International Film Festival.
“I have invited Ben Kingsley and after watching my film he will realize that there is nothing left for him to show that I have not shown already”, According to Akbar Khan.
He goes on, “I have covered political intrigues, Shah Jahan’s relation with his son Aurangzeb and daughter Jahan Ara, the construction of the Taj Mahal, etc. So everything including the history, the culture, the chemistry, the passion and the conflicts have been shown and I seriously doubt there is anything new that Sir Ben can show.”
Sir Ben who is aware that a film has already been made on the Taj Mahal said that he was aware of the film and its failure at the box-office and hence was going to concentrate even more on the script and the research involved in recreating history and the detailing involved.
The movie was a commercial flop becuase it had poor, amatuerish production values and terrible acting. If you want a good version of the story check out the book Taj Mahal Lover’s story by Mantosh Singh Devji, it got international critical acclaim and she ha s screenplay as well. Akbar Khan adapted her screenplay after he was unable to buy it. Reading the book shows the years of research she put into creating the book.
