Sir Ben’s movie on the making of the Taj Mahal and the last days of the fifth Mughal emperor Shahjahan is getting bigger and bigger. The film, to be co-produced by Kingsley, will have the British actor himself essaying the role of Shahjahan while Aishwarya Rai will play his wife Mumtaz Mahal.    Sir Ben is one of the world’s most honored actors with four Academy Award nominations for his memorable role of Gandhi. He has just announced the female lead to his movie on the Taj Mahal will be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She will play the legendary Mumtaz Mahal to Sir Ben’s ‘Shah Jehan’. The shot will start on next year in Argra and Fatehpur Sikri.
Now, it is learnt that Sir Ben wants Bipasha Basu to play Shahjahan’s daughter Jahan Ara Begum, who looked after her ailing father after he was imprisoned in his old age (by son Aurangzeb) in a citadel from where he continuously gazed at Taj Mahal, the monument of love he had got built for his love Mumtaz.
It is learnt that Kingsley talked about this project with Bipasha when they came together to host the new Seven Wonders event in Lisbon in July this year.
Bipasha has reportedly agreed to be a part of the project but her dates are yet to be sorted out.
